China Merchants Bank, one of the world’s top 500 companies born from Shenzhen Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone, has created a new landmark in Pinghu Town, Longgang District, Shenzhen – Financial innovation Building of China Merchants Bank, as its software research, development and testing center and data center, which is committed to creating an efficient and energy-saving data room, helping China Merchants Bank’s hundreds of millions of customers with data security, and building a world-class data center.

The project consists of two plots, 0098 and 0083, with a total construction area of nearly 140000 square meters and a building height of 91.5 meters. It includes 3200 data cabinets and implements the acceptance standard of Tier4, the world’s highest elevation. It is the data center unit with the highest building height in the world.
The exterior of the building is mainly made of curtain wall glass with a strong sense of technology. The overall shape is L-shaped, and the building is neat and square, resembling a huge computer room. As a data center, it is very suitable. The building is built in a green manner, with a sustainable development concept, and has successfully achieved energy conservation and consumption reduction.
ALTOP is responsible for the exterior curtain wall engineering of the project, which is large in size, tight in time, and heavy in tasks. The project department strictly follows the company’s quality management regulations, conscientiously fulfills the material brand approval, material entry acceptance, and material inspectionModel first, on-site inspection, process acceptance, concealed acceptance, and finished product protection were carried out, and important and key parts were controlled in advance, striving for excellence and successfully reducing the project cycle. During the project implementation process, the project department has repeatedly compared and optimized some key design schemes with the client, further improving the overall effect of the curtain wall project of this project.
The completion of Financial innovation Building of China Merchants Bank in Shenzhen has not only driven the financial development of Pinghu Town, Longgang, but also helped the financial development of Shenzhen. We can see from the development history of developed cities in the world, such as London and New York, that its economic essence is to rely on Financial innovation to promote the development of industry and technology. Following the trend of Financial innovation, Shenzhen has created a record of 3.06 trillion yuan of GDP in 2022, continuing the rapid development of GDP in the past 40 years.
